Clicking through the links, you find very little concerning IBM Lotus offerings. I would think that since Lotus Notes and Domino created the space, that you would see a higher profile for the software. But that is not the case. But maybe I missed something.
When it is mentioned, the reader is taken to www.ibm.com. I am sure that you realize that finding Lotus software on that site can be a daunting task, unless you already know where to look. So, the links in the Info-Tech presentation, Collaboration Tools Revisited in a Web 2.0 World, while nice, aren't specific to the technologies that they discuss. My question is "How will a potential customer find the appropriate 'Collaboration Tools' on the IBM site?"
Much of the other case studies and overviews deal with technologies that compete with Lotus/IBM. Throughout this "All-In-One" the successful implementations of Lotus software is lacking. No discussions of Quickr, Connections, Sametime, or Sametime Unyte. And yet, a look through the Lotus site, you can find case studies that show the benefit of Lotus' product offerings. How did SeachCIO miss those?
Perhaps we can all evangelize the Lotus offerings to the editors of SeachCIO. We can educate them about the Lotus roadmap, history in this space, and perhaps provide them with some links to additional information. Maybe we should point out that they should take a trip to Orlando in January to meet with Lotus executives, spend some time in the Labs, and experience the tools firsthand. "The Customers Speak" would be a good session for SearchCIO to attend, too.
While the Contact Us page is very generic, you can use it to send your comments to the Editors. The Contact Us page can be found here.

From Ed Brill's site, Chris Blatnick is featured on The Employee Factor site as an "Employee Evangelist."
What is an Employee Evangelist?
An employee evangelist is someone who believes so much in the company they work for and the products they sell that they passionately commit themselves to them. The evangelist becomes both an internal advocate and external sales force with the sole purpose of promoting the product or service that they love.
How does Chris view evangelism?
I believe evangelists also have an innate desire to help other people. That desire, coupled with their sincere belief in the product or service they love, helps drive them to become an evangelist in the first place. They also are generally very motivated people. Being an evangelist is not just a 9 to 5 job. Rather, that person puts in the extra time and effort that it takes to preach the message to others.
Many of you know Chris or have seen him speak at many conferences. You can sense his enthusiasm for the Lotus product offerings and his passion for creating better applications. His interview will provide you with some great insight, ideas, and appreciation for the benefits of evangelism.

So Lotusphere is over, and you're back from the sunny (albeit cold on a few evenings) state of Florida. Or... Lotusphere is over, and you've finished reading all the blogs and news stories about the event that you didn't get to attend (not that you're bitter or anything...)
So what now?
Before it gets too far removed from the actual event, it'd be a great idea to put together a brief 5 to 10 minute "Here's What I Learned From Lotusphere" presentation for your coworkers and management. Perhaps start with the Lotusphere in 60 seconds video. Pull out some press links from the Lotusphere 2008 Press Coverage page. Head over to PlanetLotus.org and see what over 200 bloggers had to say about the event. You have plenty of material to pull from.
It's easy for those of us living and breathing Lotus software to think that everyone has the same awareness of where IBM and Lotus are going with Notes/Domino (and Quickr and Sametime and...) But for your management and coworkers, Lotusphere is just another week in the year where you weren't there at work and IBM talked about some of their software. If you're expecting them to catch the buzz and excitement from merely reading the latest InfoWeek article, you're expecting too much. It's up to you to convey the information, and more importantly, the context surrounding it.
And if you *do* put together a presentation with slides and such, think about posting it to your blog (or someone else's) blog for others to see and use. Heck, send it to Gregg and I. We'll post it here!
